Sacred heart Senior Secondary School, Majitha Road, Amritsar, is a unit of the Institute of The Sisters of Charity of Jesus & Mary, which has branches in all the five continents. The congregation of the Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary was founded by Fr. Peter Joseph Triest in Balgium in the year 1803. Its first branch in India was established in Dalhousie in 1901.
The Sacred Heart School, Amritsar was established in 1937. This institute is open to girl students irrespective of caste, color or creed. Our mission is to reveal that Gid is love. We strive to achieve this mission through our educational Apostolate that aims at creating a human society free from prejudice, superstition and status.
