Establshed On 24th October 1937, The Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School is seen as a unique institution rendering value based education.  It has made a significant contribution towards an all-round development of students. This is highlighted by the fact that several former students of the school have held and are still holding responsible positions in the government and private sectors across the country, making their valuable contribution towards building beautiful  families and creating a more just and humane society.

The Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary believes in and values the educational mission of helping individuals to discover their dignity as human persons and children of God. They are committed to help bringing about a harmonious and humane society.

The endeavour, therefore, is to foster the personal growth of the individuals in becoming intellectually competent, morally sound, psychologically balanced, physically fit, imbued with a sense of the Divine, respectful of the environment, committed to the cause of justice, love and peace and ever receptive to the challenges of continual growth.

Our Vision in the field of education, therefore, aims at creating a society free from prejudices, superstitions and discriminations based on gender, caste, creed, colour or economic status. The emphasis is on inclusivity, care and concern for one another, especially the underprivileged.

To implement this vision, the Congregation expects the collaboration of a supportive and inspiring management, committed staff, parents and students both of the past and present, the neighbourhood community and govt. authorities.
